<p>The article is devoted to the study of topical issues of the introduction of artificial intelligence into the mechanism for the implementation of the function of promoting justice in Russian criminal proceedings. The purpose of the article is to determine the optimal balance between the pragmatic potential of artificial intelligence and ensuring the legal guarantees of the individual in the criminal process. The author notes that at the present stage of development, only the auxiliary use of algorithmic systems is possible, mainly belonging to the category of “weak artificial intelligence”. The article reveals the pragmatic potential of artificial intelligence in relation to various subjects of assistance to justice (investigator, investigator, prosecutor, defender, other participants). At the same time, the main attention is paid to ethical and legal risks, ignoring which canlead to infringement of the rights of participants in the criminal process. In conclusion, the author suggests introducing into the criminal procedure legislation the principle of instrumental subordination and personal responsibility, which establishes the exclusively auxiliary nature of artificial intelligence and the inadmissibility of automatic decision-making. The necessity of developing domestic intelligent systems with accountable functioning logic is substantiated</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>информационные технологии</kwd><kwd>уголовный процесс</kwd><kwd>содействие правосудию</kwd><kwd>этико-правовые риски</kwd><kwd>цифровая трансформация</kwd><kwd>персональная ответственность</kwd><kwd>«черный ящик»</kwd><kwd>искусственный интеллект</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>criminal procedure</kwd><kwd>assistance to justice</kwd><kwd>ethical and legal risks</kwd><kwd>digital transformation</kwd><kwd>artificial intelligence</kwd><kwd>information technology</kwd><kwd>personal responsibility</kwd><kwd>“black box”</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Гришина А.Б.
