<p>The article examines civil-lawissues arising from the use of generative neural networks in the creation of multimedia products. Itargues that, within the Russian legal system, the decisive factor is not the mere use of artificial intelligence technology but the presence of human creative labour sufficient to qualify the output as a protectable intellectual result. The paper identifies and analyses the main approaches to authorship in AI-assisted creation: denial of copyright in purely autonomous outputs; attribution of rights to the organization that developed or organized the relevant AIsystem; and recognition of copyright in favour of the person whocreated the final result where creative contribution and controlled participation can be established. Intermediate models are also considered, including human co-authorship constructions and proposals for special non-copyright forms of protection. The article substantiates that a neural network cannot be treated either as an author or as a subject of law; itserves only as a technological instrument used in the creation of a complex object. As a doctrinal standard, the paper proposes the principle of controlled creativity, comprising creative contribution, control over the process, originality of the result, and prompt complexity understood in itsevidentiary rather than autonomous meaning. Recommendations are formulated for contractual practice and for the further interpretation of Part Four of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>нейросети</kwd><kwd>искусственный интеллект</kwd><kwd>авторское право</kwd><kwd>интеллектуальная собственность</kwd><kwd>мультимедийный продукт</kwd><kwd>сложный объект</kwd><kwd>творческий вклад</kwd><kwd>контроль процесса</kwd><kwd>правовая ответственность</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>neural networks</kwd><kwd>artificial intelligence</kwd><kwd>copyright</kwd><kwd>intellectual property</kwd><kwd>multimedia product</kwd><kwd>complex object</kwd><kwd>creative contribution</kwd><kwd>control over the process</kwd><kwd>liability</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Калятин В.
