В статье рассматриваются качественные и количественные характеристики терро ристической и экстремистской преступности и правовые основы противодействия им. Преступления экстремистского характера, по мнению некоторых ученых-криминологов, демонстрируют высокий по казатель латентности. Кроме того, с развитием автоматизации средств выявления экстремистских проявлений в сети, рост количества преступлений указанной группы будет только увеличиваться. Вме сте с тем, при прочих равных условиях методом экстраполяции нами прогнозируется дальнейшее увеличение количества преступлений террористической и экстремистской направленности в России в 2026 году

The article examines the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of terrorist and extremist crime and the legal basis for countering them. Extremist crimes, according to some criminologists, demonstrate a high rate of latency. In addition, with the development of automation of means of detecting extremist manifestations on the network, the increase in the number of crimes of this group will only increase. At the same time, allother things being equal, by extrapolation, wepredict a further increase in the number of terrorist and extremist crimes in Russia in 2026
